A Good Day for Frogging.

I don’t know what possessed me to use 4mm needles for this project. Then, to get really close to the end and decide that the fabric is too stiff. (I’m probably one 4-row-repeat away from being finished.). So, it’s being frogged today.

It’s just too stiff. I wouldn’t wear it. Nor do I want to make it only to give it away.

I’m going to sit my arse in front of the computer, rip back my shawl and watch a class on short rows. (I hate short rows. But I want to love them – it would be handy.)

Have an awesome day!

Quick Update

Kurt loved his scarf.  This picture was on Facebook only a few minutes after I gave him the scarf. Isn’t it the most awesome scarf in the entire world?

I made Steve’s brother a scarf for his birthday.

I got to spend the weekend in Cambridge with some great friends.

Made a new little friend.  This is Zira.  She’s going to be huge!

I got to eat this – it’s an apple caramel cheesecake.  Yuu-uummm!  Susie also made a maple cheesecake as good, if not better, than this one.  You have no idea how delicious these were.  I may have overdid it.

I love this drawing.  Michelle’s son Sam did this.  Isn’t it awesome?

Just like the colors in this photo.

We’re all princesses.  I think we look wonderful in our tiaras. Don’t you?

I’m addicted to this new game, thanks to Susie.  It makes me feel super-smart when I can figure out the word.  Turns out I did ALL the puzzles.  Now I have to wait for an update for new ones.  Nutts!

I’m working on a shawl.  It’s a pretty plain shawl.  I’ll post pictures later this week.  I might start a new hat today.  Actually, it’s a hat that I knit already that I ripped back because it wasn’t keeping its shape.

Life is good!!!

Busy. Busy.

Well everyone, the scarf is officially finished. It’s beautiful. If it wasn’t so long, I would be tempted to keep it for myself.

When I was blocking this piece, all I did was pull on it a tad and it reached over 14 feet! Can you imagine?! So I pushed it back a bit.

I can’t wait to give it to Kurt! He’s going to LOVE it. I’m sure I’ll be able to post a picture of him wearing it shortly.

I finished up the seam on the Joe hat. It doesn’t look that great on me so I might pass it on to one of the boys at work who said he really liked it.

Last night, I worked on a couple of quick projects. They both turned out beautifully!

The Marshmallow Fluff Cowl for me.

I love how they all turned out! And I plan to wear my new cowl when I head out today.

Have a great week everyone!

And a little “ahhhh” after shoveling some of that beautiful snow.

And now, about the scarf:

About three feet to go. Then weaving in of ends, a little bath and some blocking to give it a little extra length.
