I need a bigger bag…

I’m starting to wonder what I’ll use to pack for Boston.

Did I mention that Scott and I were going to Boston on Monday in my last post?  I think I may have forgotten – which is so out of character for me because I always rant about vacations.  Anyway, we’re gong to Boston for 5 days.

Back to the bag.  A backpack is too small but a suitcase is too big.  So, what do I use?  I need one of those duffel bags. Maybe I can bum one.

When I posted that I was going to Boston, my friend Sandy posted this link on my Facebook:

Shipping off to Boston

Anyway, I’ve got 4 yarn shops mapped out.  Think Scott will mind?  We’ll go to Salem to see the homes of witches.  COOL! We’ll go to the Harvard campus, Boston College campus and the sites on the Freedom Trail.

Even though I was planning and researching my trip, I managed to do this:

I’ll post pictures when I get back from my vacation.  🙂

So much for a “ME” day…

I’ve been looking forward to today for some time.  I haven’t had a whole day at home in a while, where I was actually setting it aside to spin, knit, drink coffee, listen to books on CD while I do said spinning, knitting and coffee drinking.

I live 20 minutes out of town.

Jacob missed his bus this morning.  I didn’t set my alarm until 8:00 ’cause I get to sleep a little this morning.  Jacob forgot his alarm.

At 7:41, the Culligan guy calls to tell me he’s got one job and then he’ll be here.  (Could have just come when he was ready instead of waking me up to tell me he was coming.  I already know he was coming.)  Then, I hear the bus in the driveway and go into Jacob’s room and he’s still sleeping.  So, I freak out a little.  I’m standing there trying to figure out if he can actually move fast enough to get on the bus when the phone rings and it’s the bus service asking where he is.  I tell them to go.  It’s at this point that I just concede to the fact that I have to drive his arse into town… after the Culligan guy (who’s probably going to cost me a few hundred dollars) leaves.

MY day’s off to a rotten start!!!

On a brighter note, I had a wonderful weekend with Michelle at the Kitchener/Waterloo Knitter’s Fair.  I usually take tones of pictures but I didn’t this time.  I just enjoyed myself and enjoyed my time with Michelle.

I sort of blew the yarn budget though!  I’ll post pics when I’ve spun or finished the projects I’m using them for.  Actually, I’m just to lazy to take pictures of it all – and the light today is crap-o-la.

Here are some of the projects I’ve been working on:

Now I’m spinning some of the stuff I got at the show.  I can’t remember what the fiber is but the staple length is quite long.  It’s taking me a while to get used to it.
