Alas! ‘Tis finished.

Here she is:

I still have to block her but… I think she turned out pretty good ha?

Back to Korella.  I’ll try to finish her before the trip.

Which reminds me…  I booked a trip for me and Jacob to go to San Fransisco.  I’m sooooo excited!!!!

I actually have a night at home.  Jacob and I just drove to the corner store and each got a Pepsi and a small bag of Doritos.  Hi hi.  How exciting!  My world is small… but it’s big at the same time.

I actually got to cross a thing off my Bucket List.

San Fransisco – √

I’m going to knit.

In my world, I would have more time.

Shhh.  I think the rest of the world is sleeping right now.  I’m getting ready to go to work… again.  I’m off next weekend.  I don’t even have words to express how much I look forward to it.

I finished a sleeve last night.  Youpi!  I got really excited when I put on the sweater and it had a sleeve!  Jacob  smiled and said that Olive was really cute.  He also said that it would look good with short sleeves.  (Maybe the next one.)

I ordered a ball of lavender for my sister’s Olive.  I may hand over to my mother (thanks for volunteering Mom!) for the knitting part.  I really want to finish my Korella and get started on my February Lady (how long have I been talking about the FL?).  Oh, and the Fetching too I guess.  Maybe I’ll keep that little project as my next PP (purse project) but I already have a pair of socks on the go.

Too many projects, not enough time….

Sleeves anyone?

I finally finished the body on Olive.  I’m soooooooooooooo excited.  I was up ’till 11:00 last night working those last rows.

Then I tried it on.  It looks great.  It fits great.  It also makes me look at tad pregnant.  Oh well.  It’s the style right?  If I had used the yarn stated in the patter, maybe it would have turned out differently.  Too bad.  It feels like heaven regardless.

(Kind of hard to take a picture of your torso… when you’re by yourself.  I suppose I could have used a tripod but… you get the drift.)

I think it’s beautiful.  The pattern’s great.  The yarn is great.  The colors are great.  The price of the yarn was great (Knit Picks).

Now… big decisions:  short sleeves, 3/4 sleeves or long sleeves????  Help.

I have enough of this yarn to make another sweater.  I think.  Maybe with a pink stripe instead?

Oooooh. What to make next?????

I should finish my Korella.  It’s in exactly the same place as the last time I posted a picture.

Maybe “Fetching”?  Can you believe that 11,514 people have knit this pattern?  It’s a free Knitty pattern.

I figured, it’s a quick project.  I have the yarn in my stash so I won’t have to spend any money (which is always a bonus) and they’re pretty.

THEN, I’ll finish my Korella.  Then I’ll start my February Lady.  (According the Ravelry, 6,252 have made that sweater.  It’s also free.)

I don’t think I got enough yarn to make this though.  Funny thing is, on Ravelry, if you look at all the people who have made the February Lady, some of them use540 yarns, some 880 yards while others use 1250 yards.  Don’t worry – I looked up all the small-mediums.  So, I’m a little worried about running out.  And I got the Louet in Waterloo at the market.  What if I can’t find the same dye lot?  Yikes!

Well, I suppose I should get ready for work now.  What I would MUCH rather do is stay home and finish Olive so I can wear it tomorrow.  In a perfect world….

Before I go though, check out these sky pictures I took last week when we got that rash of storms.

Isn’t it beautiful?

A great weekend to everyone and I wish all of you lots of knitting time.

Dare I hope?

Mother Nature’s been sort of cranky so far this summer.  I don’t mind the cool nights ’cause it’s great for sleeping.  But, I thought I would be able to put away my slippers for the season and take them out in the fall.  Not so much!

The rain’s not getting me down too much either.  I’m always indoors – working

The Weather Chanel shows rain for the whole weekend.  It would be nice for the rest of you if it were sunny and warm.  But, for me, I’ll be stuck in a 10×10 room with a head set fused to my… well, my head… talking to people who drank too much and got in a fight.

It’ll be a busy weekend for the boys in blue (or black) and the rest of us inside “triage-ing” the calls.  It’s LIFTOFFdown at Lamoureux Park.  Maybe I’ll go check it out after the shift.  Then again, maybe I’ll just want out of my uniform and trade it all for my cozy couch, a nice cup of tea and my knitting.

It’s almost mid-July.  I can’t believe it.  Where does the summer go?  Jacob’s school sent his report card and next year’s calendar.  Their first day of school is August 26th.  Is it just me or does it get earlier and earlier every year?

I’m still trying to figure out where to go for our holidays.  There are so many possibilities.  Cost is, however and unfortunately, an issue.  I have friends in Alberta that were willing to put us up – too expensive to fly there.  I have a cousin in Winnipeg who invited me to go see her.  I would really like to see more of Canada.  As I get older, I’m seeing how beautiful Canada really is.  We have a million parks, provincial and national, with scenery that would take anyone’s breath away.   Then there’s Panama.  It’s almost like there are too many options that I just can’t make up my mind.

Then there’s the job… I applied for a job with Parks Canada.   Dare I hope????

I wish I could stay hope and knit this weekend.  I’m feeling a lot of pressure – all these projects in my queue are wanting me to knit them, now.  I could make them all at the same time???!!!  Could you imagine?  I would run out of space to put them all.  There are just too many.  February Lady’s next I think.

Unless… a client asked me to make a dress for her little girl (who looks like an angel with the biggest blue eyes ever) for her baptism in August.  That my occupy my knitting time for a bit.  I should really finish my Korella.  I’m not that motivated on that project.  Strange ha?

Well, happy knitting and a good weekend.
