It’s been a long day so far.

Jacob had a hair appointment at 8:00 a.m.  Then I dropped him off at school and went to Canadian Tire for some salt (water softener) and some caulking for the A/C.  Then I went to the grocery store to get the ingredients to make some gazpacho.

When I got home, I started on the grass… again.  Is it just me?  Or is it really growing at an alarming rate?  I got it all done though and it looks great.  I now have two black-fly bites on my face though.  Not attractive!

I dropped a few $$$ on some planters last week.  They look pretty nice.  Pictures don’t really do it justice but… you get the idea.

I also watered my little garden… don’t laugh at how small it is.  I had it full one year with all sorts of tomates, salad, cucumbers, herbs, beans and everything rotted because I was never around to pick them.  This year, even though I’m around a lot more (little happy dance), I wanted to start small… just in case I forget.  Haha.

After all that though, I had to take a nap.  I was totally pooped!!!!  Maybe it’s the coming off of night shift of because I was up too late/up too early.  Maybe it’s mowing the ditch that did it.. up, down, up, down.  I see body aches in my future.

After my nap (by the way, can someone explain why I can’t nap before a night shift but I did today???), I made my gazpacho.

Ok.  It looks sort of yucky on the pics but believe me, IT’S AWESOME.

Gazpacho: is a cold Spanish tomato-based raw vegetable soup, originating in the southern region of Andalusia. Gazpacho is widely consumed throughout Spain, neighboring Portugal (where it is known as gaspacho) and parts of Latin America. Gazpacho is mostly consumed during the summer months, due to its refreshing qualities.

Last night was knit-night.  We started our first knit-along.  One of our girls had made the suggestion for the preemie hats (see yesterday’s post).  Everyone made a little beanie.  Here are mine.

They’re very small.  I guess preemies are very small too.  I’ll make a few more.

The spinning girls (and my Mom) are coming here tomorrow.  Clean?  Nah… they’ll understand.  I might just do the toilet.  It’s not bad… would just be nice to have a fresh bowl for the ladies.  Haha.

My March Socks that Rock are coming along just great.  I’ll post pics when I’m finished.  Don’t want to spoil the surprise! Haha.  (I’m lying.  I’m just too lazy to get up and take more pictures.  Maybe tomorrow.)

I’m craving coffee…

This morning feels like yesterday.

I really love the way your lawn and flowers look. And I am so proud that you remembered to water your little garden! Ha! Ha! I really enjoyed meeting the “spinning girls” and I am in awe at everything they do (and you too). So much patience required!

You AMAZE me! Where do you find the time! Love the preemie hats – wish I could participate! Love the other pics of your projects too. Maybe I’ll find some time to visit your blog a little more. BTW, your yard looks great too.
