Amazing…

I still think that it’s amazing that I can make things like this with my hands:

I was working on my February Lady last night.  All of a sudden, look down and my hands are doing this.  I was very proud.

I also finally finished my “sox”.  They’re pretty cute I think?  They don’t match exactly but, I’m not that anal.  Some people would want them to be exactly the same.  I’m the type of person that just doesn’t care… about socks matching that is.  I care if there’s a mistake in the socks though.  (Yikes!)  If they’re not identical, then I celebrate their individuality.  Hahaha.

The company I got my ball winder from is sending me a brand new one.  I can’t wait to get it.  I’ll try to fix my old one and maybe give it to my Mommy.

I’m going to work on my February Lady before I have to get ready for work.  (I would totally rather stay home, knit and listen to a book on CD…)

When You Least Expect It

Sometimes, when you’re not paying attention, things happen.

Tonight, on my way home… I was sort in my head when I noticed strange lights coming from over the hill.  I thought it was a RIDE program or seat-belt-checks so I slowed down.  It wasn’t a either.  It was a train.

At night, you can’t really see the actual train going by.  All you can see is the lights from the car waiting on the other side.  It’s really beautiful the way the streams of light pierce the darkness when it hits between the two cars (or wagons).

It was over in a few seconds.  I wish it had lasted longer.

I was going to work on my February Lady but it’s kind of late.

Maybe tomorrow or Sunday.

When the Tools Don’t Work

I got home after work today and ran up to my room to get the supplies to start my February Lady, FINALLY!

I took all the supplies and the tools down –  by tools, I mean my ball winder and swift.  I set them all up at my dining room table and started…

My ball winder SUCKS!  It wouldn’t work!  The “galettes” were all lopsided and totally messy.  I was soooooo pissed.  I wanted to take a bite out of that stupid thing.

A long while later, with all my skeins wound, I started my February Lady.  I can’t believe the time has finally come!  I’m not quite sure what took me so long but I’m a happy camper today.

I’ll post pictures when it’s more interesting.

Korella’s Finished

It’s true.  I finished weaving in all the ends on Monday night.  She’s really cute.  I actually like the way she fits and all.  It’s the damn color.  I’ve decided to try to change the color, rather than selling it.  (The lady that owns the coffee shop where we meet for my knitting circle wants to buy it.)  I’m thinking tea.  Maybe it’ll make it more brown.

Any thoughts?

The days are long but at least I’m sleeping through the nights.  Fewf!

One day at a time…
