I woke up this morning and looked out the window. The breath caught in my throat when I saw the snow. It’s a thin blanket but it’s really beautiful.
I used to hate winter and everything about it. ThenI moved to the country. I don’t hate it anymore! Even though now I have to drive further in it. Thing is, in the country, the snow stays pure white. It’s always beautiful. If you look out your window, you see white – not brown or grey from the City.
I love how a light dusting of snow like this just sits on the tree branches and on the tip of the pines’ needles. Makes me want to watch Grumpy Old Men and drink hot apple cider!
On a knitterly note: I finally started France’s February Lady. Youpi! I really like the Cascade 220. It’s easy to work with, knits up well and even and I just love the color I chose. While I knit last night, I listened to a book on CD. It’s wonderful. I had a hard time “putting it down”. Hahaha. It’s a Nora Roberts. I really like her stuff. This one is called Midnight Bayou. (I just looked it up and there’s a movie!! How cool is that?)
I promise to put up some pics soon. But, again, I have to be home in the daylight to get any decent shots.
I have a new shed in my yard that I had built a few weeks ago. I haven’t been out to see it because it’s pretty much always dark when I’m home – except in the morning of course but, I’m too busy getting ready.
I hope people aren’t driving all crazy today because of the snow!!!
