I spent the better part of the little time I had at home last night speaking to a Bell representative. Whatever time I wasn’t speaking to him, I was on hold. Then I got cut off. Imagine my frustration. I could have been knitting all this time!!!! I hate TV!!!!!
It was Circle night. I didn’t get much of anything done because Mrs. Peachey came back with more wool and books this time. Then the owner of the cafe brought up a box and a few bags of needles, books and notions. I think I managed to sew up the arm and the side of the head of my little bear that I made for our local woman’s shelter.
I got some great shots of the girls last night. Well “great” might be a strong word because I used my new phone camera. The pictures look great on the phone but, not that great when you transfer them to the computer.
I finished Taylor’s mittens. New Moon comes out this week so, I’m guessing it’s more that than the fact that it’s so cold that she needs her mittens right now.
My mother, Lucie and I made all these little puppets to send to Operation Christmas Child.
I made this little guy over the weekend. He needs a scarf and some eyeballs. I thought he was absolutely adorable and easy to make up. I made him in no time. It almost takes longer to sew him up than to knit him. Wait, maybe he’s a she? (I’ll have to see how the eyes turn out.) I was going to make him for the women’s shelter but, I didn’t get a big response from the girls in the Circle about this one so, maybe I’ll keep him and give him to Patty for Christmas. Apparently, he wants a hand-made teddy from his aunt Mimi. I could make him a sweater! How cute would he be with a little sweater?
These are the girls. We have a few missing. We have some spinners, crocheters and knitters.
This is Mrs. Peachey. Isn’t she sweet? If I wasn’t working so much, I would go out and have tea with her at her farmhouse. Maybe I’ll find time in December.
I have to start France’s February Lady. I’m so slacking!!!!! I know she’ll understand if I don’t have it done by Christmas Day so…
Off to work…
It is so to see the circle again!! They have changed a few things inside the cafe… very nice.
I love the little teddy bear. He/she is very cute. I would love to get the pattern from you. 🙂
I am attempting to make a sweater… we shall see how it turns out. It could be a very interesting process, but the pattern looks easy enough, so I am hoping for the best.
Good luck with the puppets!

Well, those mitts for Taylor are great, but I don\’t think she will ever outgrow them as far as length is concerned.
Your teddy bear looks really awesome. Hope mine turns out as well.
