I’ve had to put my February Lady on pause for a few days.

One of the girls has been working on a little sweater for her new baby grand-daughter.  She got all the pieces finished but didn’t have time to put it all together before leaving for Sweden.  SO, I told her I would put it together for her.

Here it is… all finished.  It’s hard to put someone else’s work together though.  AND, it’s pretty impossible to block acrylic.  So, here it is.  Hope she likes it.

I’ve otherwise got most of the first sleeve done of my FL.  She’s looking great!  I have a feeling I’ll be making a few of these.

It’s the knitting show in Waterloo this coming weekend.  I can’t freakin’ wait!  It’s going to be a great time.  It always is.  I got to spend time with my wonderful hippy friend Michelle and her family.  PLUS, this time, Jacob wants to come with me.  Then, to top it all off, as if it couldn’t get better, I got to shop for all different kinds of wool for a whole day!  (This is not good for my budget… or my yarn closet!!!)

I really hope to finish my February Lady before I get there because 1) Michelle wants to see it and 2) I want to start my brother-in-law’s Cobblestone!!!  I’ll get some Briggs and Little while I’m there – they always have tones and it’s priced lower than in the stores (like $2.00 less).  It’ll be his Christmas gift.  (Yes, I can write that because he’s not the type of guy who reads knitting blogs!)

Tonight, I’m picking up my Little Sister Taylor and we’re heading to the library.  She reads like a mad-woman.  I’m going to get a few books on CD for the road trip.  But, this time, I have to make sure I get some that Jacob will like.  It makes the drive to Waterloo go by so much faster.

My goal for today is to finish sleeve #1 of FL.  (It should be to clean the house, do some laundry, empty the dishwasher – but it’s not… We all have our priorities.)

That Cobblestone sweater looks very interesting. I’m sure he’ll look really good in it.

The baby sweater looks nice. Do you have…or know where to get that pattern. I’m thinking maybe for Sab & Kim’s new baby.
