I have a lot of things to be excited about this week.
Number One: I had my second workshop this past Wednesday night. 10 students, including a husband and wife team. How sweet!
Here is one of my students’ cowl. He did so well and I was so excited to have a male student that I took a picture of his piece. They were all beautiful though. I’m a bit bummed that I didn’t get around to snapping a group photo.
Number Two: Emma and I have been getting requests for more workshops before the holidays. So I’m having another next week on the 15th. THEN, if all goes according to my plan (mouah ha ha), I’ll be having at least one per month in the new year. I couldn’t be happier.
Number Three: I’m almost done all my orders (Christmas or otherwise). This means I can finally cast on for my Icelandic Sweater. I can almost taste it.
I’m working on the Seed Stitch Mittens from Purl Soho. They are so lovely. I can’t wait to finish them and hand them over to their owner. (She’s pretty excited already.)
Number Four: I also have a few ideas for new designs dying to bust out of my little brain.
Number Five: Check out this photo. My good friend Nancy sent me this text last night.
Kylie was a student in my very first knitting workshop in late November. Apparently, she really developed a taste for it. This picture made my day.
Number Six: Even though I’m working days all weekend, I have no big plans at night. Know what this means? Lots of knitting time! Woot!
Number Seven: On Sunday night after work, my girlfriend Tina and I are heading to Peterborough, where I’ll get to spend a little time with my baby sister. Double-woot! AND, there’s a yarn shop in Peterborough. OMG. Maybe I’ll find yarn for my new designs. Then again, I SHOULD go through my stash because it’s likely I have yarn for that in my bins.
Number Eight: I’m crushing hard on this hat – Jason’s Cashmere Hat. Imagine having 100% cashmere on your head. And the cables are so pretty.
That’s about it. Have an awesome weekend.
