Longing…

I should be posting pictures of my trip to China.  I’m not finished going through them.  There are over 2100 pictures.  I’ve made it as far as maybe 600.  It was a big trip.  And frankly, I’m not ready.

The unfortunate thing about my trip to China is that it ended up costing me over double what I was expecting to pay due to circumstances I should have foreseen but didn’t… because I believe in the general goodness of all people.  (Odd in my line of work isn’t it?)  Bla bla bla.  Poor me right?  I went to China!  I’m excited about that part.  The part I’m not excited about now is that I’m broke.  Really broke.

I went to see my friend (financial adviser) Tom  and he told me I couldn’t travel for a while if I didn’t want to be broke forever.  Now I’m seriously bummed out!  I have the bug and the freedom to go wherever I want, whenever I want and I can’t go anywhere.

Lately, I’ve been seriously LONGING to go to New York City.  I love it there so much!  If you’ve never been, GO.  You won’t regret it.  I’ve gone every year since the first time in May of 2005.   This year is the first year I don’t (can’t) go.

I’m not a particularly lucky person but I’m going to start buying lottery tickets… but not too many because I have to save. Haha.

Maybe I should sell my yarn stash???  Is that really crazy?  It’s definitely a little crazy but… I love my yarn.  It’s a real comfort to me.  Maybe that’s crazy.  Hahaha.

Regardless.  I’m longing for NYC today.

I’ve already posted a few pictures of our trip so you get a general idea.  BUT this photo is probably one of my favorites.  I love her green dress.  All the girls in China dress like this – pretty.

I’m off to spin with my friends for the first time in what feels like months and months.  I’m really looking forward to it.
