It was a rather short week last week – 3 whole days of work.  It was fabulous!

Friday, I spun all day.  I don’t often get to say that.  BUT, I literally spun from 10:30 in the morning until after 11:00 at night.  I obviously took breaks to drive, eat and stuff like that.  It was fabulous!

Saturday, I headed to Sand Road Sugar Camp for a giant buffet breakfast with a couple of the girls from work.  We had a great time.  I ate way too much.

Check out this old washing machine.

Then I found this piece of art and had to have it.

I think it’s an umbrella stand.

I went out with some friends on Saturday night.  Needless to say, it took me most of Sunday to recover.

On Monday, I plied my yarn, gave it a wash (13 WPI), put it in “galettes” when it were dry, did up a gage swatch (6 stitches per inch) and…

started Felicity.

The Corridale didn’t keep its color the way I would have liked… or perhaps I should have Navajo plied it – If only I didn’t suck at Navajo though.  Would have messed it all up for sure.

Today, I got a few surprises in the mail.  Remember when I told you guys that I spent some money (oops) on Etsy when I was finding the link to post here?  Well, here’s what I ordered.  YU-MMY!

Aren’t the colors just fantasmagoric? (I may have just made up that word – couldn’t find one that described what I was trying to say.)  Here’s her link again:  Knitty and Color.

I also go another surprise today!  When I came home at lunch, along with the package containing the roving, I had a Canada Post slip for pick-up.  I thought it was my new dress.  When I looked at the package, I realized it was my new WooLee Winder:

It was supposed to take months for me to get this.  I just placed my order only three weeks ago maybe!  I was very pleased.

Today was a great day!

Another Long Weekend!

Wow! That’s amazing – the delivery time on the WW, I mean! And your little spinning bundles are gorgeous too!

Your spun yarn looks great – you’re getting to the professional spinning stage very quickly!
    Well done!

I guess I don’t have to ask you what you did on Monday any more. And yes, those yarns are incredible. You’re just not passionate enough when you describe them! Ha! Ha!
