This week has been A GOODER as my friend Pam likes to say.
I have benefits at work now since becoming full-time. This past week, Jacob and I both got our teeth cleaned, went to the eye doctor’s and finally got new glasses (after a billion years). I really like my new glasses and I’m pretty sure Jacob likes his too. They’re both just for reading but I might be more inclined to wear them now because I think they’re fun.
Honestly, I can’t believe I made him. I still can’t believe my offspring is 18 years old! As if? Doesn’t he look like a real man? I swear the kid has more facial hair then most of the grown men I know.
Steve took Jacob to the range to let him try a few different firearms. Look at the grin on the boy’s face! Ok, he looks like a little boy here – a little boy who just got to play with a lot of really cool toys.
Then yesterday, I got a smokin’ deal on my new toy! I’ve been wanting a Mac for a while now cause my old laptop sucks big b**ls. Thing is, MacBooks aren’t cheap. So, here I was thinking it would take me 12 eternities to save up for one and this MacBook Air just appeared at a price I could most definitely afford. Granted, it’s used. But, it’s barely used. So, someone (like moi) is extra-super-duper excited. I’ve been coming home from work and spending hours on this little thing (even after spending 12 hours looking at 8 computer screens). I’m going to make it a beautiful case out of beautiful yarn. I LOVE IT!! 🙂
And to add icing to the already super-sweet week, my sister got back from her trip and surprised me at work! I haven’t seen her since before Christmas. I tried really hard not to cry when I got to actually hold her in my arms and look at her face. Wonder if she noticed.
Lesson of the week: when you are positive and happy, really awesome shit happens!
