I don’t have too much to report today except that the house is still a giant disaster. It’s driving me crazy!

We got a big snow storm yesterday.  It really messed with my plan to get all the clutter out of the house.  Jacob got up almost right after I posted yesterday.  I let him have his cup of coffee and then we took the garbage out.  I was worried the garbage man wouldn’t take it all because we have a limit here in the County.  But, he took them all.  Youpi.

I took that picture for my sister who’s in Chattanooga right now. She heard about the storm and wanted me to send her some pictures.

I got the main part of the basement done. Those 59 loads of laundry I did on Thursday really helped. I didn’t take any pictures of my basement because, let’s be honest, what’s so exciting about a laundry room?!

I found a few treasures. One is this old French book my sister and I used to love as kids. The illustration in this book is still as amazing today as it was when I was six.

I also found some hair clips I planned to use when sewing sweaters. They hold the seams in place better than little bits of yarn. Know where I found them? In my freezer in the garage!!!! As if!!! I remember throwing a bunch of stuff in there a few years back when I had moths. I turned the house upside down looking or those damn clips when I sewed my Tilted Duster together. I thought I was losing my marbles. I almost never lose things. I have a photographic memory. I take a mental picture of where things are and almost always find them. One of the awesome things about this last week is that I now know where everything is.

On a very sad note, I put my old slippers in the trash last night. The bottoms were actually coming apart. It was time. Sniff, sniff.

Goodbye old friends. You were very good to me.

Now back to happy things. The view outside my kitchen window this morning is absolutely beautiful.

But it’s not snowing anymore.  So, today is the day that everything goes.  No more bags and boxes in the middle of my space.  Yahoo.

Now it’s the weekend and I’m not doing any more cleaning.
