Yesterday started with this:
The actual shot was painless. It’s the soreness after it. I can still feel it today.
Despite my wussiness, I had a very predictive day yesterday. I finished up the kitchen.
I’m not really OCD but don’t they look great? How did I ever live in the chaos that was my tupperwear cupboard?
I got the rest of the main floor done. I have tones of empty drawers and trunks. Maybe I can stash wool there?! 🙂
I started with the dreaded spare room around 5:00 PM and stopped close to midnight. But man, was it worth it.
Before:
Don’t judge. I know it’s awful!
BUT!!! Now it looks like this!!
Doesn’t it look awesome? I might lower that painting. I find it a little high.
When I went to bed last night, I finally conceded that I need new slippers.
Not bad, I would say, considering I knit these in 2007!
I am going to have to figure out what to do with this mountain of yarn now!!
So, that was my day yesterday.
This morning, I was a little bummed when I walked down the stairs, anxious for my coffee, and saw this:
Then I looked outside and saw the snow. I wanted to get rid of all this stuff today! Will it happen? Please please please!
On the schedule for the day is the basement. I must have done 59 loads of laundry yesterday – towels and sheets and sleeping bags. So, I guess that made for a good start for today.
Onward!
But please stop snowing. And Dear Garbage Man, take your time, I’m waiting for my 18-year-old boy to crawl out of bed to help me take all the garbage to the road.
Love your blog. You’ve been a very busy lady. Your quilt is beautiful and looks great on that bed. I can’t believe the yarn you have: it quite like my fabric stash.
The cupboards look awesome and the spare bedroom…well, no words to describe that!!! For a while now, I have been wanting a picture of my mom’s quilt that’s on your bed. Now is the perfect time. It is there in all its glory!
Congrats on all your hard work so far!
