I know I haven’t written in a while – since I got my wheel.  It’s been busy around here.  More busy that usual I guess.

Well, ok, maybe that’s not that true.  I’ve been obsessed with this new series True Blood.  I’ve been watching a lot of that in my spare time.

I haven’t had a chance to spin.  I set the wheel up, it works and I haven’t touched it since.  I know – it’s a sin after the amount of whining I did about not having a wheel anymore.

BUT, in my defense, I’ve finished knitting my Minimalist.  I don’t have pictures yet because I haven’t had time to sew it up.  I think this weekend…  I joined the Knitting Daily knit-a-long for this one.  It’s fun.  I started way late and still finished before the deadline.  I love this sweater (in pieces).  I hope I still love it when I sew it all together.

I also started working on my January sock club socks.  They’re moving along nicely now that I’ve vowed to knit NOTHING else until they’re finished.   Three months for a pair of socks is just too long!!!

My riding mower decided it didn’t want to work yesterday.  So, now I’m annoyed that my grass is long and that I’ll have to dish out money to fix it.  Just when you think you’re getting ahead…  Is it like this for everyone?

I’m working nights and the weather’s really strange.  It was sunny when I got home at 6:30 this morning.  Then I thought the storm was going to blow my house down at 10:00.  When I managed to fall back asleep, it got sunny again.  Then we had another thunder storm when I got up at 1:00 and now it’s sunny again.  Seriously!!!!  What the hell????  Normally I love the rain and storms but not when I’m trying to sleep or when I don’t want my grass to grow.

I’m cranky.  Weekend off.  Maybe that’ll cheer me up.

I feel like knitting lace.  Don’t ask me why.

Maybe something like this?

By the way, these pics aren’t mine.  They are of projects from other knitters on Ravelry.  I loved them so much that I used them as examples of what I want to make.

I wonder why I picked two rainbow items?  Aren’t the colors just fantastic?  The possibilities are endless.  I think this is why knitting excited me so much.  I see things like this (above pics) and I actually feel giddy inside.  I know… strange.  I can’t help it.

It’s sunny again.  It was raining 7 minutes ago!

Been a while…

I was wondering where you were…
Yes, unexpected expenses do creep up on us. We’ve had a few this week.
Thanks for posting the pictures of Chloée’s sweater for me. We really need a new camera…another expense which is not as big an emergency as fixing a lawn mower, though.
