To skirt it, all you do is pull off the bits that you don’t want to process. I did mine this morning. I laid them on a sheet on the grass (so they wouldn’t pick up any more debris from the grass cutting around here), then I went around the outside edges and pulled off anything that looked like it was caked on. If it was just sticky tips that I thought would wash off, I left it.

So you don’t really need a frame unless you’re going to buy lots of fleeces that are not skirted. The ones at Rheinbeck will already be skirted so you won’t need it for those.
